Flawless Lives documents the urban transformation process of an ex-rural area in İstanbul, Çavuşbaşı, which prompts ecological, social and economical problems in turn. Within government funded “special projects” the land is vandalized and forests are slowly replaced with gated communities, with a promise of ‘modernisation’ of the neighbourhood. Flawless Lives aspires to document this ever changing landscape for long term. The unbinded structure and open form of the book will enable any further edits as the project evolves with time.
